Colonial Concepts Log Homes has taken major steps towards a green environment. We must protect our forests and understand the importance of conservation to maintain an eco-friendly planet. Our commitment and concerns as a manufacturing company are ongoing and demonstrated in the following actions:

• Logs are purchased from suppliers that practice reforestation

•  Waste reduction & support of our farmers - sawdust & woodchips are donated to area farmers and log cutoffs are donated to residents for firewood

 
 

•  Fiberglass shingles – less petroleum in shingles and inhibits fungus and mold growth

•  Natural insulator - cells in the wood fibre provide one of the best forms of insulation from either heat or cold. Log homes are very cool in summer and very warm in winter – keeps heating and cooling costs to a minimum

•  Environmentally friendly – since the beauty of log homes owes so much to Mother Nature, we felt it was only right to ensure that our line of log home products was designed to be environmentally-friendly

 
 



•  Logs do not give off any emissions as in the production of bricks, vinyl and aluminum siding

•  Log homes are a recyclable and reusable product with an infinite lifespan and structural integrity


 


•  Aesthetically pleasing - log homes are nature at its best. You'll feel at peace with nature in your 'living home'.
